Registration and Enrollment

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEARS BEGINS ON MARCH 3, 2025

 

To confirm your school of residence go to the LAUSD Resident School Identifier.

 

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES GRADES TK-5

Online registration:

Go to enroll.lausd.net and follow the instructions for filling out the forms and uploading required documents.  Note: there are some forms that are not available online.  Please come to the school to fill them out.

 

In-person registration:
Registration packets are available in the school office. When returning the registration packet, you must bring the following documents with you:

  • Driver’s License or other official photo identification
  • Choose one: D.W.P bill, gas bill, mortgage papers, or property tax bill (phone bills are not accepted)
  • Child's immunization record (immunizations must be complete)
  • Birth Certificate (the official county document)

We encourage you to complete registration as soon as possible to ensure your space.

 

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES GRADES 6-8

According to the LAUSD resident school identifier, your child is assigned to another middle school.  Hesby Oaks Leadership Charter is identified as a second choice only if space is available.
 
Returning a completed 2025-26 registration packet does not guarantee your child will be enrolled at Hesby Oaks.  Completed packets will be numbered in the order they are received.  Your child will be invited to enroll at Hesby Oaks if a space becomes available.
 
 

TO APPLY FOR THE LOTTERY IN GRADES TK-8:

The website is open from October  - November 15 for on time applications.  Late applications can be submitted from February - September 2025.

 

Go to apply.lausd.net. Click on the Charter icon.  Follow the prompts to apply for Hesby Oaks.  Once you hit submit you will receive a message that your application was accepted.

 

We will do a random drawing for waitlist ranking in February.  All late applications will be assigned the next number by grade level in the order received.

 

At the end of July, we will start calling parents to come enroll their children based on available space.
