HESBY OAKS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

 

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026-27 SCHOOL YEARS BEGINS ON APRIL 06, 2026

 

To confirm your school of residence go to the LAUSD Resident School Identifier.

 

PACKETS CAN BE PICKED UP ON OR AFTER APRIL 6th. 

PACKETS CAN BE TURNED IN ON OR AFTER APRIL 20th.

 

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES GRADES TK-5

Online registration:

Go to enroll.lausd.net and follow the instructions for filling out the forms and uploading required documents.  Note: there are some forms that are not available online.  Please come to the school to fill them out.

 

In-person registration:
Registration packets are available in the school office. Please bring a photo ID and a current DWP bill, gas bill, or any official government mail to confirm your residence.  Note: LAUSD does not accept phone or cable bills.

 

When returning the packet, you must bring the following documents with you:

  • Child's immunization record (immunizations must be complete)
  • Birth Certificate (the official county document)

 

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES GRADES 6-8

According to the LAUSD resident school identifier, your child is assigned to another middle school.  Hesby Oaks Leadership Academy is identified as a second choice for some students if space is available.
 
Returning a completed 2026-27 registration packet does not guarantee your child will be enrolled at Hesby Oaks.  Completed packets will be numbered in the order they are received.  Your child will be invited to enroll at Hesby Oaks only if space becomes available.
 
 

TO APPLY FOR THE LOTTERY IN GRADES TK-8:

The website is open from October 1 - November 15, 2025 for on time applications.  Late applications can be submitted from February - September 2026.

 

Go to apply.lausd.net. Click on the Charter icon.  Follow the prompts to apply for Hesby Oaks.  Once you hit submit you will receive a message that your application was accepted.

 

We will do a random drawing for waitlist ranking in February.  All late applications will be assigned the next number by grade level in the order received.

 

In late July we will begin to call parents to entroll their child if we have available space.
